Now here’s all that fun information about the “Day Of” Events!
 
At this point you are responsible for paying for the number of entries you have submitted. If you need an invoice, please contact Bethany Laster at [email protected]

Please bring payment with you the day of. Do not mail checks. 

  • Registration will start at 8AM.
    • To Register: Busses will need to drop students at the front of Carthage High School (2600 S River, Carthage MO 64836) Busses then need to park as close to River street as possible.
    • A registration table will be set up when you enter the building. Drop off payment with Bethany and receive your packet for your school.
    • Please let the ladies at the Registration Table know of any day of cancellations so we can keep our scoring spreadsheets as up to date as possible!
  • In the Packet
    • Brief notes about the day.
    • Stickers!!!
      • IT IS INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT YOU CHECK, DOUBLE CHECK, TRIPLE CHECK YOUR STUDENTS AUDITION NUMBERS!!! Since this is a blind audition, your student must say the right audition number in the room, so we can put the right scores with the right students!! The sticker will have the room, time, and audition number for each student! They need to wear their sticker throughout the entire audition!!!
  • The Audition
    • Please have students report to their rooms 5-10 minutes before their scheduled time.
    • Students may choose to do their prepared first, or sight read first. They must adhere to the scheduled time for prepared, but can sight read before or after.
    • Students do not need to be memorized, but if using music, will need to sing off of an ORIGINAL. No judge’s copies are needed.
    • I will provide originals in all 9/10 rooms of Tutto Lo Di. I will have them clearly labeled to have them not be removed from the room.
  • Sight Reading Rooms
    • SIGHT READING ROOMS WILL DO ALL VOICES!!! ONLY STIPULATION IS 9/10 STUDENTS MUST GO TO A 9/10 ROOM, 11/12 STUDENTS MUST GO TO A 11/12 ROOM!!!! Remind students they must sing!!! Chanting will be an automatic 0.
  • Judging
    • You will be receiving your judging assignments from Melanie Soule. Please be prepared to judge at least 1 hour of a 9/10 sight reading. Thank you for your help with this!
  • General Procedures
    • Throughout the day, please keep students who are waiting to audition/done auditioning in our commons area. We need to keep the audition hallway as quiet as possible.
    • Students need to stay in assigned areas. No roaming the building will be allowed. All areas off limits will be clearly marked. Please make sure students are aware of this.
    • Directors, a light hospitality room will be open to  you in room B111. If you join us for Soundfest, it is the same room we use for that.
    • A concession stand will be set up in the commons for your students to enjoy as well. We will have light breakfast options, pizza, candy, and other snacks throughout the day. Tropical Smoothie Café will also be joining us this year!
